Baldric


Description/Blazon
On a blue field with gold fringe at the sides and bottom and one folded piece below two drum sticks, a flint Indian arrowhead of French horizon blue with an olive drab block "T," the top portion of the baldric contains an arched three tiered scroll in French horizon blue, doubled darker blue bearing the inscription "THIRTY-SIXTH INFANTRY DIVISION" in gold letters, bowed above and below palms in olive drab.  The lower portion of the baldric, separated by a white faceted star, are areas for the two decorations:  the Meritorious Unit Commendation (Army) Streamer embroidered "EUROPEAN THEATER" and the French Croix de Guerre with Palm Streamer embroidered "VOSGES" and below the star are six red scrolls for the campaigns during World War II:  Naples-Foggia (with arrowhead), Anzio, Rome-Arno, Southern France (with arrowhead), Rhineland, and Central Europe.
